Carpet Cleaning

It's another gorgeous day here in Omaha. It's 55 degrees right now and absolutely gorgeous! We have had an unseasonably cool summer and our windows have been open for 2 days! I think that's a record for us!

The house we moved into almost 3 years ago has carpet in the kitchen and the bathroom (yeah I know...YUCK!). Today I am cleaning the carpets in the kitchen and bathroom. It's not a very pleasant job but the results are AMAZING! The kitchen carpet is an entirely different color and the bathroom doesn't smell anymore!

I have been up since 6 am to get the girls ready for school. The sun is shining and I feel good today! It's been a pretty dark year for me as I suffer from depression and chronic fatigue syndrome. I normally retreat to my darkened bedroom and sleep until I have to get the girls from school on Mondays and Tuesdays. Sometimes I have brief shining moments filled with pleasant moods and energy...today is one of those days. I really miss feeling this way and I hope that this is a sign that I'm rebounding from almost a year of darkness.

It's a beautiful Sunday!

The weather is unseasonable cool today, just as it has been most of the summer. I'm not complaining though. It's about 65 degrees right now and all of our windows are open. The fresh air smells wonderful! The sound of mowers can be heard outside. It's quiet in the house since the girls are gone at the moment. That will soon change...
